Thanksgiving...Florida Edition

This year Thanksgiving was far from traditional for the Randles family.  Since we weren't able to make the trip up north this year, we decided to head to the beach.  We had a fun filled day of flying kites, chasing seagulls, eating Cuban sandwiches, and collecting shells and shark teeth.

Great American Teach-In

I had so much fun participating in the Great American Teach-In at the kids' school.  One by Kathryn Otoshi is a great picture book with an anti-bullying theme.  It was wonderful to spend time teaching in each of their classrooms.

Baby dolls

Pearl loves the new bitty baby clothes.  Thank you Grandma Shirley and Grandpa Jimmie!

Transformers!

I found these costumes at Dollar General yesterday for $1.00 a piece!  Halloween merchandise was 90% off.  The boys were thrilled.  I also found a pirate and Darth Vader costume and paid a total of $4.00 for the entire purchase!

My little turkeys

When I was in elementary school one of the kids in my class would bring these every year for a Thanksgiving treat.  Pearl, Cal, Henry and Harper also loved these fun little treats.  Just takes candy corn, Nilla wafers, marshmallows, and stick it all together with vanilla frosting.
